The weather held for a week or so, long enough to get our foundation walls poured and sit for about a week. Basement walls are cool!The last picture is the walls with the forms removed... and yes that is water inside our basement, it rained shortly before this pic, and the ground water had perc'd up a bit. Yes we will have a sump pump, they are part of life in Wisconsin!
I am amazed at how fast the house (or is it a swimming pool?) is going up! You have to be so excited.
ReplyDeleteUm, I don't understand the interior columns (posts/piers/????). What the heck? You have beefed up footings, why do you need concrete columns? Loading bearing walls will handle loads from above!!! Am I being a pain in the ass?!? Just asking!
ReplyDeleteOops, I "blew up" the photos, those are just extra form boards. My bad, never mind! They look like poured columns otherwise. Ok, looks good!
